Food Review: Chicken Parmesan

So for the past year of school, I lived in an apartment with a few other people. It was the first time I’ve been on my own and I was in charge of what to eat. I didn’t get a dining plan because I had heard terrible things about the dining hall. Plus, I wanted to cook my own food.

Because of this, I have tried a lot of new recipes over the year. Some worked out, some didn’t. Most I found on Pinterest, and sometimes it’s hard to tell whether a recipe is good or not until you try it.

I found a chicken Parmesan recipe in the fall semester, and I thought, how can you go wrong with this? And it did turn out wonderful.

The recipe was supposed to be a ‘skinny’ recipe, but lets be real: those kind of recipes are usually the worst. So I substituted things with the brands I liked. I didn’t use whole wheat breadcrumbs or reduced fat cheese. I also chose the brand I like for the marinara sauce.

The chicken turned out great. I was glad, and I ate most of what I made that night. I don’t think I had any leftovers. This recipe was a great find, and I made it quite a few more times over the year.
